It was a case of Déjà vu for AFC Wimbledon as a second stoppage-time leveller in four days saved a point against bottom club Coventry.
Veteran Paul Robinson lashed home from 12 yards after Andy Barcham’s cross from the left wasn’t properly cleared.
The goal will cover some of a multitude of sins from the Dons, and having been robbed of victory by an offside goal in stoppage time in the reverse fixture there was some justice the late drama.
As on Saturday against Charlton, Dons started slowly and it needed a mart save from James Shea to deny George Thomas after he had raced clear with 18 minutes on the clock.
Neal Ardley’s men improved though and created a chance of their own, Tom Soares’ half volley from the edge produced a smart parry from Sky Blues’ keeper Lee Burge.
Lyle Taylor’s header missed from close range on the hour only served to add to his and Dons’ rising levels of frustration and they cranked up another notch when substitute Jodi Jones cut in from the right on 71 minutes to curl a shot into the far corner and put Coventry in front.
Ardley threw on George Oakley and Tyrone Barnett, but looked unlikely to score until Captain Marvel’s late intervention.
