Southall's match at Hillingdon Abbots Seniors in the MCFL Senior Open Cup was postponed on Saturday for a second time.

After two blank weekends, Southall hope to be in Middlesex Intermediate Cup action this coming Saturday. They are away to Willesden Constantine in the semifinal. Kick off at the Alperton Sports Ground is at 1.30 pm. Victory will put Southall into a County Final for the first time since 1999. The following week Southall make the third attempt to play their Open Cup quarter final against Hillingdon Abbots Seniors. Kick off at the Old Abbotstonians Rugby Club in Hayes is at 1.30 pm.

* The youth football fixture list was decimated by bad weather at the weekend, but Hanwell Town U9s did play and were glad they did as they thumped St Josephs 5-1. Hanwell Town were not at their best but quickly got into their stride and it only took man of the match Nat Rose three minutes to score the opening goal. Further goals from Rose,Tyreece Germain-Andrews and a lovely finish from Khalis Ebanks from a corner kick made the game safe at half-time. The game went a little flat after the break. St Josephs did get a goal back as they tried to claw their way back into the game, but another wonderful finish from Tommy Judge put the game to bed as a spectacle. Hanwell could have had many more as a Tyreece Germain- Andrews had a second 'goal' disallowed.

* Hanwell Town's home match against Broxbourne Borough was part of an entire programme of 44 Spartan South Midlands league matches called off at the weekend because of snow, rain and frozen pitches. This coming Saturday,Hanwell are away at Biggleswade United. North Greenford United's match at Cobham in the combined Counties league was also called off at the weekend. They are due back in action at home to Chertsey Town tomorrow (Saturday).
