Pinner drew with Edmonton
BHAVIK Thakkar starred with both ball and bat as Pinner secured a winning draw.
Edmonton looked rattled early on at 34 for three before Adeel Saeed's 81 pulled them clear.
They were skittled for 203 with Gary Steadman (two for 66), Laurence Schreiber (two for 32), Thakkar (two for 39) and Ranjit Bagwe (four for 30) taking the wickets.
Thakkar's 34 not out, on the back of good knocks from John Spencer (32) and Sagar Panaskar (52), helped Pinner finish on 169 for seven. Wali Khan bowled a hostile spell for Edmonton to claim figures of four for 79.
On Sunday the first XI brushed aside Knotty Green after reducing them to 154 for nine. Oosthuizen (two for 13), Manny Kuntawala (two for 52), Adam Rissen (two for 15) and Joban Kapoor (two for 28) shared the wickets.
In reply Pinner chased the score down for the loss of four wickets with John Spencer (66) leading the way for a finish of 155 for four.
The Development XI, mean-while, fell just short in their match against West Harrow.
The opposition got 223 for eight off 35 overs with Tahir (two for 30) and Deepak Kapoor (two for 26) bowling some tight lines.
In reply Pinner finished on 196 for nine with Abdul Majid (84) and Tony Lawson (28*) offering resistance.
