Wembley's woes in Division Two continued as their latest defeat, a four-wicket reversal at home to Acton, left them in the relegation zone.

The hosts were knocked off for 173 in 55.4 overs and, having initially made hard work of it, Acton got over the finishing line for the loss of six wickets in 44.4 overs. Raj Amunagama was Wembley's chief tormentor, taking 5 for 66.

Things look even bleaker for the club's second team after defeat to promotion-chasing Finchley left them 30 points adrift at the foot of the table.

Wembley were 219 all out while Finchley clocked up 220 for 8 to win by two wickets.

The third string remain in the second automatic promotion spot despite tasting home defeat to Winchmore Hill.

The visitors made 260 for 6 while Wembley fell short by 32 runs.
