Three matches in four days finally caught up with Osterley on Tuesday as they bowed out of the Cockspur Cup to Hendon.

Asad Rizvi's men missed three golden opportunities in the crucial first 15 overs of Hendon's reply to their 251-8 off 45 overs.

Two caught and bowled chances were dropped, while Abid Ahmat threw wildly over the wicketkeeper's head when both Hendon batsman were stuck at the same end and a simple run out beckoned. Hendon's openers went on to add a century stand as Osterley went down by five wickets.

There was better news on Sunday as Osterley reached the Evening Standard Cup quarter-finals for the first time in their history.

Sarvesh Shirasat was their star, hitting 89 as they stacked up 246-9, before Aman Buttar's three wickets sealed victory over South Hampstead by 59 runs.

That win followed Saturday's Middlesex Championship success, where they defeated Harrow St Mary's by 89 runs.
