IF THERE'S a cricket club out there who fancies winning £11,000 and representing your borough - here's your chance.

London T20 is the competition for all 33 London local authorities, starting on June 7, culminating in the final on August 16.

Essentially modelled on the IPL Series in India, one team will represent each borough and will take on other sides in the extremely popular biff-bang format of IPL cricket.

London Assembly member Murad Qureshi, from Lisson Grove, is not only championing the new competition - he also hopes to get Twenty20 cricket into the 2012 Olympics as a demonstration sport.

He added: "With the professional team behind the concept, it's sure to become a permanent fixture on the London sporting calendar."

The catch is that applications to be one of the teams close on May 8. Therefore, an immediate visit to www.londont20.com is required for a chance to get a walletful of cash as well as being crowned cricket kings of the capital.
