Osterley are sweating on the fitness of captain Asad Rizvi ahead of Sunday's Cockspur cup clash with arch rivals Twickenham.

Rizvi injured his back diving in the field in only the second over of their shock heavy Middlesex Championship derby defeat to Indian Gymkhana and took no further part in the match.

The Osterley skipper faces a scan later this week to determine the extent of damage and admits it will be touch and go.

He said: "I dived in the field and something went in my lower back - it's not very flexible at the moment.

"I'm getting calls from my team-mates every few hours to see how I am doing, and we are sweating on what the doctor may say.

"But there are still a few days before the game, so let's see what happens."

Deprived of inform Rizvi's his off-spin bowling, Osterley responded well in the field, restricting Gym to 203.

However, without their match winner of last weekend, Osterley's real problems came when they launched their reply.

Never able to establish any meaningful partnerships, they capitulated for just 100 for their first defeat to neighbours Gymkhana in several years.
