Middlesex returned to the top of the Sourh Division as beat rivals Kent by six runs in an exciting Twenty20 clash at Uxbridge's Park Road last night (Tuesday).

Before a good crowd in perfect summer conditions Middlesex rattled up 171-7 off their 20 overs with Eion Morgan (62) and Dawid Malon (52 not out) top scoring for the Crusaders.

Kent, who went into the match as division leaders, made a brave attempt to attack the Middlesex target with Robert Key leading the way with 49.

However, they were kept in check by some excellent bowling from Tyron Henderson (4-29)) and the veteran Shaun Udal (3-19) and finally finished six runs short on 165-8 as Middlesex returned to the top of the table and strengthened their grip on claiming a last eight spot in the competition.
