Middlesex boosted their hopes of winning the Twenty20 South Division last night (Wednesday) with a six wicket win over Sussex at Hove.

This came after they had beaten Kent the previous evening at Uxbridge's Park Road ground.

Sussex made 151-7 off their 20 overs with Mike Yardy top scoring on 45 and Middlesex reached the target after 19 overs for the loss of four wickets with Ed Joyce and Dawid Malan seeing them home with an unbroken stand of 39.

Earlier opener Billy Godleman hit seven fours and two sixes in 69 off 49 balls as he got Middlesex off to a good start with fellow opener Dan Housego.
