Stephen Eskinazi has signed a one year contract with Middlesex CCC.
Eskinazi has spent the last two years on a scholarship contract and his impressive performances and continued development have now been rewarded with a full contract.
During the course of the past two seasons, Eskinazi has been the top run scorer for the second XI, amassing more than 2,100 runs in total. He has taken almost 100 catches and stumpings during this time with the club too.
On top of this, he has also had two outstanding seasons playing for Stanmore in the Middlesex County Cricket League. In 2013 he won the player of the year award, and in 2014 he was once again the top run scorer in the league.
Middlesex managing director of cricket, Angus Fraser, said: "It has been very satisfying to see Stephen continue to develop and make progress as a cricketer. He is a very dedicated and motivated young man and we are delighted to have him on board.
"Stephen has worked extremely hard since arriving with us from Australia and he thoroughly deserves this new deal. If he continues to improve it will not be long before he is putting first team players under pressure for their positions."
