BERKSHIRE LEAGUE DIVISION ONE: Harlington 312-4dec (35pts) beat Waltham St Lawrence 139 (4pts) by 173 runs

A SUPERB innings from Adil Malik made Waltham St Lawrence pay for inserting Harlington as the home side racked up a massive 312 for four declared.

Malik entered the fray with Harlington having lost Faisal Khan (16) and Amjad Raja in quick succession to slip to 29 for two and he proceeded to take the Waltham bowling apart, despite conditions favouring the ball.

While opener Waseem Khan (60) played a vital anchor role Malik produced some glorious strokes all around the Imperial College ground, striking 10 sixes on his way to a masterful innings of 184.

All the bowlers suffered badly as Malik dispatched even good balls to the boundary as he dominated a third-wicket partnership of 258, helping Harlington to a mammoth total.

Malik then claimed a wicket in the first over of the Waltham reply and with Bhatti he kept the visiting batsmen tied down. However, it was Mukul Mishra (4-20) and Faisal Khan (3-12) that did the damage as the visitors were dismissed for 139, earning Harlington victory by 173 runs.
