MIDDLESEX COUNTY CRICKET LEAGUE DIVISION TWO

Ickenham 243-7

Brentham 80-8

Winning Draw for Ickenham

ICKENHAM’s wait for a Division Two victory continued in frustrating fashion at the weekend.

Having posted a large score with the bat, Ickenham failed to bowl out a stubborn Brentham XI to leave them without a win after six games of the new season.

Ickenham, bottom of the league standings, can count themselves unlucky not to have picked up the maximum 10 points in this one though.

Mike Olsen hit a splendid century as the runs flowed for the visitors, taking the total to 243-7 in 55 overs at the crease.

Brentham knew they could not chase down their opponents and went looking for a share of the spoils.

Matt Saunders looked good with the ball and took four wickets for Ickenham, but they ran out of time as the hosts held on at 80-8 for a losing draw.

Also in Division Two, Uxbridge had to settle for a point against Southgate, who boasted a faster run-rate in their draw.

Eastcote remain bottom of Division One after their match with Twickenham was abandoned.

Elsewhere, Northwood and Northwood Town both saw their games fall victim to the weather in the Hertfordshire Leagues.

And it was the same story for Harefield in their trip to Aston Rowant.
