ALLROUNDER Eranda Jayasinghe dominated Bessborough 2nds' match at Wycombe House.

After his side struggled to 140 for seven off 40 overs, Jayasinghe made a 30-ball 50, enabling the visitors to declare at 218 for nine.

Wycombe House came out all guns blazing and were 140 for three off 24 overs. But then Jayasinghe played a masterstroke. After opening the bowling with swing, he switched to offspin and ended with 6-34 as Wycombe House were dismissed for 174.

Bessborough thirds faced a formidable total of 278 for two posted by Acton off 48 overs.

In reply, Bessborough batted just as well, with Vinnay Bhudia holding the innings together with 94 and ensuring that the mammoth target was reached in the last over of the match for the loss of seven wickets.

An astonishing run chase ended in a great victory for Bessborough.
