Hayes have secured promotion from Division 4A of their newly adopted Thames Valley League at the first time of asking.
On Saturday, Chalfont St Peter were unable to raise a side and gifted Hayes 20 points, and with both second place Slough and third place Windsor suffering defeats that was enough to start the celebrations at the Green.
Currently Hayes remain 15 points ahead of new second place side Cookham Dean, also in their first season in the TVCL, and as both sides meet in the final league match of the season this Saturday this should ultimately be the championship decider.
Club captain Keith Wallis said: "It has been a fantastic season of cricket throughout the club.Bearing in mind that the club was close to extinction some six or seven years ago, the turnaround has been nothing short of miraculous.
"We will be entering a 3rd XI side in the league next year, and with all of the age groups of the colts section providing so much promise the future looks rosy.
"Cricket clubs' fortunes go in cycles, so maybe this is now our time to shine.
"The new players who joined us at the beginning of the season have strengthened the club and provided plenty of competition for places."
A delighted Wallis added: "The whole atmosphere and attitude amongst all of the players this year has been outstanding.I can't thank them all enough."
