Harrow made ground on MCCL Division Two's promotion hopefuls on Saturday (12) as they entertained local rivals Wembley at Payne's Folly.
The home side won the toss in cloudy conditions and decided to bat but they soon found runs hard to come by as Wembley's bowling attack got into their groove - delivering a good line and length.
Eranga Mendis on 5 was the first to fall with the score on 21.
Wasim Aslam was then joined by Tushaar Karia as they started to rebuild in difficult conditions but Aslam went for 21 in the 17th over with the score on 42 for 2.
Darren Crook came to the wicket as he helped Tushaar Karia move the score along to 84 when Crook was out caught for 17. Avinash Karia soon followed for 0 as Tushaar Karia continued to hold things together with a battling 59. Harrow could only reach 160 all out in 52 overs as Wembley produced a good bowling and fielding display as they looked favourites to take the 10 points at the halfway stage.
Harrow needed to get off to a good start and Theo Modeste ensured this happened by claiming the wicket of the visitors star man Green for 0.
Darren Crook then joined the party and with wicket keeper Richard Bennison standing up Simpson soon returned to the pavilion stumped for 9.
Patel soon followed bowled by Crook for 5 as Wembley looked in a bit of bother at 21 for 3.
It got worse for Wembley with Crook and Modeste bowling superbly at the visitors who failed to cope with Harrow's opening bowling attack.
The fielding was electric with Crook and Modeste dominating the show as the wickets continued to fall and with the score on 40 for 7 an early night looked on the way. Another stumping took care of Merali as Crook and Modeste bowled right through the innings as Wembley fell away only reaching 72 all out.
A superb bowling and field performance by Harrow was the highlight of the day as Crook and Modeste shared the spoils with 5 for 21 and 5 for 36 respectively.
The result lifts Harrow to fourth place and within touching distance of a promotion spot but has condemned Wembley to the relegation zone as they slipped to second from bottom.
Harrow completed the double over Wembley with a good performance at Vale Farm.
Batting first Wembley could only reach 144 with Clint Wolverson taking 7 for 54.
Harrow struggled in their reply but reached their target for the loss of 6 wickets to take all 10 points
