Division Three: Ickenham 167-6 (10pts) Beat  Barnet Bs 166 (0pts) By Four Wickets

David Gibson claimed a superb six-wicket haul to set Ickenham on the way to victory against Barnet Bs.

The pace bowler took six for 54 from 18.1 overs to leave the Barnet batting in ruins after the visitors elected to bat at Oak Avenue.

The game was still in the balance when Ickenham slipped to 107 for six in reply but Gordon Summerfield and Steve Gibson saw them to their second win of the campaign without further loss.

Veteran Jerry Nightingale (2-44) landed the early blows to remove both Barnet openers including Mansoor Baig for 23 and then David Gibson got stuck in.

He tore through the middle order to reduce the visitors to 58 for five and although two players held him up, making 48 and 34, the last four wickets went down for just 19 runs as Barnet slipped from 147 for six to 166 all out.

The chase was far from straightforward as Ickenham lost wickets primarily to Patrick Blair (4-95) but Summerfield lofted one six and 10 fours in a match-winning knock of 69 not out, receiving fine support from Steve Gibson, who made 34 from 43 balls to see the hosts home.

* Ross Berti (52) and Vrishant Patel (54) made half-centuries as the second team recorded a winning draw against Shepherds Bush II, making 212 all out beforerestricting the opposition to 194 for eight in reply.

* The thirds wererolled over for just 97 before going down by seven wickets to Kenton III.

* The Sunday first team won a high scoring Chess Valley League fixture with Hitchin after Paul Waller (97 off 47 balls) and David Gibson (51 not out) smashed 263 for three off 34.1 overs in reply to 260 for one off 45, in which Atul Ranade made an unbeaten 163.

The seconds went down by 79 runs to Eastcote after being dismissed for 149 in the hunt for 229.
