Former Northwood, Watford and Brentford striker Scott Fitzgerald has signed for Hayes and Yeading United ahead of Saturday's Blue Square kick off after impressing in a number of pre season friendlies.
Fitzgerald played for United's Conference South rivals Basingstoke Town last season and will be a useful addition to Garry Haylock's squad for the new season which starts at Church Road on Saturday when newly promoted Chelmsford City are the visitors.
Haylock has also added defender Neil Martin to his squad on a one month loan deal from League Two side Exeter City.
