BESSBOROUGH CC celebrate their centenary tomorrow (Friday) with a Twenty20 fixture against their very first opponents, Harrow St Mary's.

The game, at Bessborough's Headstone Manor Ground, will take place 100 years to the day of Bessborough's first club fixture.

James Wheeler, Bessborough's Centenary chairman, said: "I was always looking to do something special for the exact day of our first game and, with the 23rd falling on a Friday, it made sense to celebrate it with a Twenty20 fixture.

"We have always had a friendly rivalry with Harrow St Mary's, and it made perfect sense to approach them, and they were delighted to take us on."

The match starts at 6pm, and Bessborough intend to run a barbecue and provide some musical entertainment to complete the evening.
