Harrow Town had the better of Saturday's Middlesex County League Division Three derby clash with Bessborough on Headstone Manor, despite the home side's batsman Rupert Thacker scoring an unbeaten ton.
Having been put in to bat first by the visitors on a damp wicket, Bessborough's innings was dominated by the in form Thacker, who cracked an unbeaten 120.
In a rain reduced match, his great effort saw Bessborough to 216 for five declared from 49 overs.
Left just 31 overs to make the required runs, Town found quick runs hard to come by in the conditions, particularly against the good bowling of Ian Barrie, who snapped up 5-58.
Gihan Herath did hit a fine 53, but the visitors finished some way short of the target with 147 for six, although they did pick up the four points for the winning draw.
