DIVISION 2: Clarendon 284 beat Northwood Town 226 by 58 runs
One player was the difference between a narrow defeat and a relatively comfortable win as Clarendon's Aussie import Drew McMillan smashed a swashbuckling 138 in just 65 balls to send Town's scurrying after the ball on many occasions.
He was ably supported by Gary Wise as the pair put on a fifth wicket partnership of 102 in quick time.
Town did battle back well and found little problem in removing the rest of the Clarendon side.
Sid Siddharth was the pick of the Town bowlers picking up 3 for 52 and was supported by Rohan Lee (3-94), Sean O'Neill (2-44) and Adam Hills (2-61) as Town eventually dismissed the visitors for 284 in the 34th over.
In reply Travis Abel and Sid Siddharth opened with a patient part-nership of 61 before Abel was caught on the boundary for 32.
This signalled a flurry of wickets as Town slipped to 67 for 3. Sean O'Neill showed some maturity and batted sensibly for 30 while Rohan Lee finished unbeaten on 38.
However, wickets continued to tumble and whilst Town made some headway into the target, they were always struggling against the big run rate and finished their innings on 226.
