The Internet sensation known as the Food Busker is inviting shoppers at Shepherd’s Bush Market to try his food and become part of his online show.

Chef John Quilter, whose videos have been viewed more than 16 million times on YouTube, has moved into the old butcher’s shop in the market and opened a studio kitchen, where he will film there nearly every Friday and some Thursdays.

He is inviting shoppers at the market on those days to keep an eye out for him and come in to sample his food.

In his popular shows - he has 150,000 YouTube subscribers - Chef Quilter cooks on the streets and markets of London inviting regular members of the public to sample his delicious fare and state, how much they think the food is worth.

The flash mob feel of the show has meant it has traveled to musical and food festivals as well as episodes being filmed as far away as Colombia and Canada.

He focuses on sharing his kitchen industry training so his audience can recreate restaurant standard food at home.

Before sharing his culinary talents, the Food Busker ran businesses for Raymond Blanc and Sir Terence Conran as well as operating his own Michelin-listed, award winning brasserie, Marmalade.

He has also consulted for some of the most prestigious London institutions, including The Ivy, Le Caprice and Soho House.

The studio kitchen opened at the end of October, and the Food Busker could not hide his excitement. He said: “I’ve taken the unit at Shepherd’s Bush Market and I’m so excited. It’s my dream come true. It’s one of the biggest days of my life."

He goes on to describe Shepherd’s Bush Market as “a real London market”.
