The breathtaking view from Westminster Bridge has been listed among the top 15 greatest sights in Britain.

Looking across the bridge you can see iconic London landmarks including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in Westminster .

The spectacular scenery has bagged them a commendable eighth place in a UK-wide public vote.

But we want to know if Londoners think the sight is worthy of this high praise.

Is the view from Westminster Bridge one of the greatest sights in Britain?

The view from the top of Mount Snowdon of Llyn Llydaw in Wales was officially rated the best view in the country.

Other famous views included Stonehenge in third place; Loch Ness in sixth, Ben Nevis in 11th and the view from the summit of Brecon Beacons in 14th place.

Tower Bridge takes the number two spot (Matthew Cattell/Samsung Galaxy S8.)

A study was commissioned by Samsung to mark the launch of its latest smartphone - Samsung Galaxy S8 - which has an Infinity Display Screen and premium best-in-class camera used by Landscape Photographer of the Year, Matthew Cattell, to capture many of the views listed.

Over 2,500 people took part in voting for the most incredible views from a list collated by a panel of leading travel experts from publications such as Rough Guides and Mr and Mrs Smith.

With the average Brit taking over 1,000 pictures on their mobile phones of landscapes and city views, the study also revealed there are five key factors that make up a typically British view.

These are the rolling countryside, rugged coastlines, country villages, historical landmarks and spires, cathedrals and architecture.
