X Factor singing sensation Talia Dean from Hounslow swapped the stage for the straighteners as she visited a charity event in Ashford.

La Belle Hair Salon hosted a #choptoyourchin event in aid of the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children across the UK and Ireland who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

The campaign, which was created by GHD, encourages people to cut their hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, and the Ashford based hair salon is just one of 10 salons in the country to promote the campaign.

La Belle were thrilled to have Talia in the salon

While the X-Factor contestant and mother-of-one opted for a style rather than a cut, she certainly raised awareness of the campaign and brought smiles to the faces of her fans.

Salon owners, Alice & Rachael Matthews said: "As soon as we heard Talia on the X Factor we loved her and knowing she was a local girl we just knew we had to invite her in!

"Talia was a burst of energy at La Belle. Everyone was so excited to meet her & it was so lovely to see how she was with her fans of all ages.

Adding: "We had traffic stopping, passers by coming in for their chance to meet Talia. It was a really special day.

"To top it all off Talia drew our GHD competition & spoke about #choptoyourchin We could tell that she was taking a genuine interest in the campaign which was so heartwarming."

Talia also performed live on La Belle's Facebook and seems to have secured an army of support from the salon.

Alice and Rachael continued: "She was honestly breathtaking! From just spending the one afternoon with Talia I can tell she is such a genuine person with a heart of gold and La Belle will be supporting Team Talia all the way."
