X Factor: Hundreds sign petition to get Harrow's Honey G booted off the show after drugs reveal

Her past with drugs has got everyone riled up to get the North Wheezy rapper off the singing competition

Hundreds of people have signed a petition to get North Wheezy rapper Honey G axed from X Factor.

The online petition is in response to the 36-year-old's revelation to a drugs past, using class A and B drugs, and her support for legalising marajuna.

Since it was launched less than 24 hours ago more than 320 people have signed the 'Remove Honey G from the X Factor' petition which was set up by Gareth Parr from Derbyshire. Once the petition is closed it will be delivered to ITV and Simon Cowell.

Mr Parr states in the petition: "It does not set an example to young impressionable viewers nor does it set a good impression of the long running show which removed Frankie Cocozza for taking and endorsing drugs whilst taking part in the show.

"As a long running viewer of the show I call upon Simon Cowell and remaining producers of the show to remove Honey G from the X Factor.

"Failing to do so will lead to complaints being lodged with Ofcom and the CPS as the show is glorifying the use of illegal drugs which is unacceptable."

With a rap version of Bee Gees Staying Alive , coupled with a tweet for votes during the two-minutes silence on Sunday (November 13) and no solo part in the Remembrance Day group performance, its been a difficult weekend for the reality TV star from Harrow.

In the comments section of the online petition, Janet Groome from Sudbury, said: "She is a joke. She can't sing and really good singers are going out who have worked so hard.

"She can't even rap. Het her out, she is a joke."

Vicky Rogers of Ashford, added: "Because it's fixed, cannot sing the same thing every week and not good for children if taken drugs."

However, there has been mixed reactions on Twitter.

@somzzz_ tweeted: "In shock that Honey G is even being kept on X Factor after bragging about drugs, Frankie Cocozza was axed straight away?!?"
