The controversial West London rapper was booted-off after being the audience's favourite in the ITV show's live finals for eight weeks.

It was ultimately Simon Cowell who sent the urban artist home as he said her time "had come" to go.

As it was announced she was leaving, she said: "I just want to say how much I have enjoyed working with everyone on x factor and the judges, you're incredible.

"This has been a completely life changing experience for me."

But right up to her final week, Honey G was making the headlines after a stage invader ran onto the stage to grab a moment with the woman who has been splitting the public since her first apperance.

Looking back at her time on the show, the 35-year-old's first performance, in which she grabbed her crotch as she invited listeners to "let me search it", divided judges.

Simon Cowell could barely bring himself to look but the others put her through to bootcamp, with Sharon Osbourne displaying her street credentials as she revelled in the routine.

As she progressed, she found instant fame in the press, grabbing headlines every week. She even hoped to inspire more female rappers after wiping out her £10,000 debt.
