X Factor finalist Jamie 'Afro' Archer will join Billy Ocean and others at a free Rugby World Cup festival in Isleworth.

The impressively coiffured singer, who made the final of the TV talent show in 2009, is one of several additions to the line-up for the Be Inspired Festival in Redlees Park on Sunday (September 13).

The Dhol Foundation, who performed at the London Olympics closing ceremony, will bring the sounds of the Indian subcontinent to the stage. And east London's Revelation Avenue will display the choral talents that earned them a berth in the finals of this year's Britain's Got Talent.

Tom Jones tribute act Billy Lee completes the line-up at the festival, organised by Hounslow Council as a warm-up for the Rugby World Cup, which kicks off five days later up the road in Twickenham Stadium.

R'n'B legend Billy Ocean, who will headline the festival, and classical and jazz music prodigy Tyler Rix are among the acts previously announced.

The Be Inspired Festival is a free family fun-day. As well as the mouth-watering musical line-up there will be sports taster sessions, arts and crafts activities, street food from around the world and the chance to see rugby's biggest prize the Webb Ellis Cup.

Fairground rides and an army assault course hosted by the Irish Guards are among the other attractions lined up at the event, taking place from 11am to 5pm.

Hounslow Council leader Steve Curran said: "We have managed to get some really good acts on the bill for the Be Inspired Festival. It is a free event designed to let everyone in on the excitement of the Rugby World Cup which will be reaching fever pitch by the time of the festival. And it will be a chance for local people to get active and involved."
