The mother of the woman murdered near World’s End Estate says her daughter will “never get true justice” despite seeing the killer jailed for life.

Tina Parry is still struggling to process the death of Natasha Davies, 35, who was stabbed with a kitchen knife in Stadium Street, Chelsea on August 2, 2015.

She was speaking to the Daily Post after 49-year-old grandmother of six Tracy Delores Phillips was sentenced for the murder at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday (January 25).

Tina, who has now lost both her children after her son committed suicide in 2005, said: “It’s been a long time [since the murder] but it feels as though I have not been able to grieve.

“I am still badly shaken by what happened, I haven’t really been able to process it, you know, I’ve just been determined to see justice for her.

“But it will never be true justice, it will never be fair. She [Phillips] will come out of prison at about 60, her family will be able to visit her, will see her.

“I’ll never see my girl again.”

Tina, from North Wales, followed every day of the court case, and also had to endure the ordeal of seeing an earlier trial collapse due to a witness’s mental condition.

Tina continued: “It meant we had to have all the reports done and almost go back to square one. It was emotionally draining.”

Phillips admitted to manslaughter but denied murder. It took the jury almost three days to unanimously decide she was guilty of the more serious offence.

Tina said the hardest parts of the trial in London were when Phillips took the stand and hearing the 999 call shortly after Natasha’s murder.

“When she [Phillips] took the stand she had no remorse," she said.

“She said she had let her family down but she never said sorry to me and to my family.

“Going through all the detail was hard but I knew I couldn’t miss a day, if it [the trial] went wrong I needed to know why.

“This woman nearly sawed my daughter’s tongue off when she stabbed her.

“She changed her story so many times with what went on that day.

"I may never know the real truth but I know she murdered my daughter.”

At the trial Phillips claimed Ms Davies, who was born in Denbighshire, North Wales, was trying to rob her son.

Phillips was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 13 years.
