If you're anything like us, you will already be excited for one of the biggest celebrations of books on the calendar – World Book Day 2017.
Just in case you're worried you've missed the big day, fear not, you still have almost two months to prepare your kids (and yourself) for the massive celebration of all things bookish.
This year is the 20th edition of the UNESCO backed world-wide phenomenon that celebrates authors, illustrators, books and most importantly READING.
The massive event also encourages youngsters to dress as their favourite literary characters.
We've put together a little guide of everything you need to know about World Book Day 2017.
When is it being held?
This year's World Book Day falls on Thursday March 2, so you have plenty of time to plan out costumes, props and maybe get in a few more books for inspiration.
Where is it being held?
World Book Day is backed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) so is held in all member states of the United Nations (UN) – although your youngster may not be interested in this bit.
But the exciting news is that countries like Spain, Sweden and the US also celebrate the day.
In the UK schools across the country will be taking part, with book tokens being handed out, events and activities, as well as book themed fancy dress.
How do I get involved?
All primary schools are automatically enrolled and there is no need to register, so make sure the date is booked in the diary if your youngster is that age.
Secondary schools have been required to register to take part since 2004, and sadly registration for 2017 is now closed.
So check with your child's school to see if they will be participating in the celebrations, otherwise fear not – there's always next year.
How do I use the book token?
More than 15 million £1 National Book Tokens will be handed out to schools across the country to mark the special day, which is almost one for every youngster under 18 in the UK and Ireland.
All you need to do is take it to your local bookseller and swap it for one of the TEN exclusive, new and completely free World Book Day books.
Alternatively you can also use your token to get £1 off any full price book or even audio book instead (as long as it costs at least £2.99).
Take your book home and enjoy
Tokens will be valid from Monday February 27 to Sunday March 26.
