A woman was woken by an intruder touching her in the middle of the night in her Acton home.

Ealing police are investigating an allegation of sexual assualt and seeking witnesses after a man entered a house in Birkbeck Road.

The incident happened on Sunday (May 17) at around 3am while the victim was asleep in bed.

She called out and a man ran out of her bedroom and out of the front door, leaving the door open. It is thought the man entered the house through an open bedroom window.

The suspect is described as black, approximately 30-years-old, with a strong athletic build. He was smartly dressed in jeans and a cardigan.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time who noticed any unusual activity or anyone acting suspiciously.
