A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision in Park Lane on Saturday (July 23) afternoon.

Police were called to the scene, beside Hyde Park , shortly before 3.20pm to reports of a crash involving two vehicles.

A police spokeswoman said paramedics from London Ambulance Service had attended, and a woman had been taken to hospital.

She said police were awaiting an update as to the woman's collision.

Transport for London (TfL) said the collision, coupled with hundreds of cyclists passing through the area during a Bike Storm demonstration, had caused delays in the area.

Traffic appeared to have returned to normal by 5.30pm.

A driver earlier escaped injury despite a car being flipped onto its roof during a crash on the A30 Great South West Road near Heathrow.

That crash was the first of two at the same junction , by Hatton Cross Tube station, within the space of four hours.
