Fire crews battled a blaze at a terraced house in South Ruislip on Tuesday night (September 20) which lead to a woman being taken to hospital for treatment.

The fire in Bridgewater Road took four fire engines and 21 firefighters to bring under control.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) tackled the blaze for over an hour after they were called at 8.41pm.

Crews from Ruislip , Northolt and Southall fire stations attended the scene.

Part of the ground floor was damaged in the blaze.

LFB said one woman left the property before the arrival of the fire service.

She was treated by London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.

LFB said the fire is being investigated by them and the Metropolitan Police.
