A woman who thought she heard fireworks outside her home in Ladbroke Grove was actually hearing a firearm being fired into her house, police believe.
The 27-year-old only realised her mistake when she found a hole in the window of her home in Adair Road at around 1.30pm on Monday (October 17).
Police officers were called and told by the resident she had heard what she believed to be fireworks the previous night (Sunday).
Detectives from the Trident Gang Crime Command are now investigating and found evidence of a discharge of a firearm outside her address. They are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
There have been no arrests in connection with this incident.
