Police in Brent are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was assaulted and suffered racial abuse at a bus stop in Wembley.

According to a Met Police spokesman, the allegation was made to police on August 4, relating to an incident at a bus stop in High Road, Wembley, on August 2.

The victim claims that as she was waiting for a bus, she was hit on the head by a man with some sort of plastic rod, who then ran off.

A second suspect then racially abused her.

The first suspect is described as a white man, aged approximately 25-30, around 5ft 11ins tall.

The second suspect is also described as a white man, aged around 35-40, and around 5ft 9ins tall.

It is believed that the two suspects were part of a group of five or six men who then made off from the scene together.

Local authority CCTV has been checked but did not capture the incident but police are checking CCTV belonging to local shops in the area that may have captured the incident.
