A woman has been arrested following video footage of a foul-mouthed racist incident onboard a bus in Brent.

The Met Police said the incident happened on the 206 bus as it was travelling along Knatchbull Road at around 10.30am on Tuesday October 13.

A 36-year-old female was later arrested at her home in Willesden Green on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

She was taken into custody at a north London police station where she remains at this time.

A Met Police spokesperson said: " A woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation of video footage showing a racist incident taking place on a route 206 bus on Tuesday, October 13.

"Officers from the Brent Safer Transport Team are investigating.

"Enquiries continue."

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation, or was on the bus when the footage was taken, is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Service on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
