A woman in Brent has been arrested by officers from the Met Police's Counter Terrorism Command unit on suspicion of circulating terrorist materials.

Officers arrested the 38-year-old at a residential address in NW10 at around 6.30am on July 14 (Thursday) under section two of the Terrorism Act, which is spreading terrorist publictions.

She was also arrested under Section 58, which is being in possession of a document or record containing information of a kind likely to be of use to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

Officers are currently searching the address, as well as a business address in W7 and a residential address in UB10.

The woman is currently in custody at a south London police station and police are continuing their enquiries.

A 36-year-old man was also recently arrested in Ealing on suspicion of circulating terrorist publications .
