Despite a cold and drizzly day, dozens of brave souls still bundled up warm to walk in aid of an African charity.

The Winter Warmer Walk took place on Saturday (22) around Bushy Park, Richmond, on behalf of African Revival, based in Hampton Hill.

Supporters from across West London walked the 8km route in support of the charity’s jumpstart appeal, with all money raised doubled by the UK government.

The charity appeal has raised £193,000 to date, and funds will support improving nursery education in northern Uganda.

Holly Smith, fundraiser for African Revival said: “Thanks to everyone that took part on Saturday, it was wonderful to have your support – and great to see those green hats bobbing along the park."
