A teenage boy has been found guilty of manslaughter after what police described as the 'extremely violent' death of a man in Kilburn in broad daylight.

The 14-year-old boy from Willesden , who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found guilty of manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (May 11) following the death of 21-year-old Haile Langa .

Imaan Farjani, 20, of Unity Close, Willesden, was found not guilty during the same trial.

Ahmed El-Sayed, 20, of Watling Gardens, Brent , had also been charged with Haile's murder , but was discharged from the trial on Monday (April 25).

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 2.40pm, on Thursday (November 5) 2015, to Watling Gardens, on Shoot Up Hill, Brent, following reports of a man suffering from a stab injury.

Officers attended and found the man, who was later named as Haile Langa.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, Haile was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.06pm. A post-mortem examination found that he had died from a stab wound to the chest.

The teenage boy will be sentenced on a date to be confirmed.

Appealing for witnesses after the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "This was an extremely violent incident that resulted in the death of Haile Langa.

“The attack took place in broad daylight in an area where there would have been many people around."
