A tragic crash in Willesden Green on Saturday night (December 17) has left one man dead and a woman in a critical condition in hospital.
The Metropolitan Police were called to Willesden Lane at the junction with Walm lane at around 11.30pm after reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians.
One of the pedestrians, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene, and the second, a woman in her late 20s, was rushed to a central London hospital in a critical condition.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injures, and has since been arrested.
He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving, and is currently in police custody.
A passenger in the car fled the scene.
The next of kin of the man who died have been informed.
