The Cannabis is Safer Than Alcohol Party might make it clear it has one clear goal - legalising cannabis - but 79-year-old Lee Harris explained his other concerns surrounding London today.

In the run up to the London Mayoral Elections, the candidate explains what he would do if he woke up as Mayor of the city.

Here are six of the main points the party want to drive forward - do they deserve your vote?

1. CISTA want to legalise cannabis

The party believe legalising cannabis will reduce the amount of misuse which occurs. Certain places would be given licences where those over 16 would be able to purchase small quantities of the drug. It would also be taxed, raising more money for the city.

2. Overhaul London's infrastructure

Mr Harris, who has lived in the city for decades, said the way new proposals for railways are laid out are incorrect and not addressing areas which need better access to other parts of London. Should he become Mayor, he hopes to address those issues more closely.

3. Ensure an apology is given to London's Afro-Caribbean community

The Mayoral candidate was firm about London having to show more compassion towards the city's Africo-Caribbean community after he claimed to have seen continuous bias against them, particularly where policing is concerned.

4. Introduce cannabis for more medicinal purposes

In an interview with getwestlondon, Mr Harris discussed the research his party had done in medicinal purposes for cannabis, including for epilepsy. In raising awareness for this, the party believe they could make significant progress for the medical world.

5. Break down organised crime by looking at the role of drugs more closely

Mr Harris discussed the number of people in London who take cannabis and believes it has a significant impact on London's organised crime. If voted Mayor, he hopes to work with the Metropolitan Police to understand the role of drugs in the city's more complex crime spots and how "decriminalisation could help reduce crime".

6. Bring communities together to reduce the amount of hate crime in city

Born into a Jewish family, Mr Harris is now a Buddhist and said recent events with terrorism have left the city scared and could drive people further apart. The party hopes to promote "One Love" and create more events and opportunities where people show more compassion towards one another.
