A cyclist in his 50s remains in hospital fighting for his life following a collision with a lorry in White City.
The man was taken to an east London hospital on Tuesday evening by London's Air Ambulance.
Police said that on Wednesday (May 17) morning, his condition remained life threatening.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to the rush hour crash between the lorry and cyclist on the Westway , near the junction with Wood Lane, on Tuesday (May 16).
Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to reports of a collision just after 5.30pm.
Emergency services were still at the scene two hours later.
Traffic came to a standstill and road closures were put in place while the incident was dealt with.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the cyclist - a man, believed to be in his 50s was taken to an east London hospital.
"His injuries are being treated as life threatening."
The lorry driver stopped at the scene.
He has not been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.
