Police say the cyclist injured in a collision with a lorry near White City remains in a critical condition.

He was hurt in Wood Lane on Tuesday (May 16) with what police at the time described as “life-threatening” injuries.

The incident happened in Wood Lane, at around 5.30pm. Scotland Yard later said the injured cyclist was in his 50s , and revealed that he is still in a critical but stable condition nearly one week later.

He was taken by London Air Ambulance to hospital, with the collision closing Wood Lane northbound between South Africa Road and A40 Westway and southbound at the junction with A40 Westway due to the collision.

Westbound on slip onto the A40 from Wood Lane was also closed, and there were delays westbound on the A40 on approach to Savoy Circus.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene.

There have been no arrests.

In a separate incident, on Monday (May 22), police said a male cyclist, also in his 50s, died in Chelsea after a crash with a lorry in Fulham Road, close to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital .
