A Westminster PC has been sacked for having inappropriate contact with three vulnerable women, one of whom he allegedly started a relationship with.

PC Anirudh Raichura was alleged by the Metropolitan Police to have started a relationship with a vulnerable victim of crime and sent numerous texts in July 2014, despite having no "legitimate policing purpose" for doing so.

He was also alleged to have misled a supervising officer about that relationship and to have offered to take a woman to her home in a police vehicle.

In total he faced 17 allegations relating to inappropriate contact with three vulnerable women, 15 of which were proven at a police misconduct hearing to amount to "gross misconduct".

He was dismissed without notice following the hearing, which was held on Wednesday, September 28.

He was found at the hearing to have breached the standards expected of an officer in four categories: authority, respect and courtesy; honesty and integrity; confidentiality; and discreditable conduct.
