A large number of luxury apartments have been unveiled to the public in Southall as part of The West Works housing development.
On Sunday (October 7), the first 36 apartments at the mixed-use site - which comprises one, two and three bedroom apartments – were launched by Redrow developers.
Designed by Boon Brown architects, the apartments benefit from “communal gardens and new community amenities” as well as cycle storage.
Prices start at £365,000 for a one bedroom apartment, located 15 miles west of the city centre.
Simon Halfhide, sales director at Redrow London, spoke following the apartment's launch and said “now is the time to purchase” the new homes.
He said: “The homes at The West Works have been designed to the highest standard and the communal gardens and landscaped courtyards will create a real sense of community."
“Property prices in Southall are currently 40% lower than the London average," Mr Halfhide added.
"With the expected 32% increase by 2020 due to the arrival of Crossrail, now is the time to purchase and benefit from all that Southall and the surrounding area has to offer.”
The launch comes as construction begins on the nearby gasworks site, a 25-year plan which will see 3,750 homes built on the 88-acre site.
Southall Waterside phase one will see seven acres of outdoor space and 618 new homes built which will be delivered to coincide with the opening of the Elizabeth Line .
Nearly 10,000 people are expected to move in to the site, with a new business and leisure hub, community buildings, and more than 40 acres of public open space including two new parks.
