A murder investigation has been launched after a man died from "multiple stab wounds" after being attacked at his home in west Kensington .

Emergency services were called to an address at Shaftesbury Place in Warwick Road at 2.45pm on Monday (October 30).

The victim, Julian Aubrey, 55, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men aged 48-years-old and 56-years-old have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody, said Metropolitan Police .

A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday (October 31) concluded that Mr Aubrey died from "multiple stab wounds."

His next of kin has been informed.

Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks has urged anyone with information to contact the force.

He said: "I am appealing for anyone who was recently in the area of Shaftesbury Place and who may have heard a disturbance coming from one of the flats to contact us.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who may know why Julian was targeted in his own home in such a violent way.

"Any piece of information, however small, may prove vital to my investigation."
