Reports of a man with a firearm in West Ealing on Wednesday (May 10) turned out to be a false alarm.

Met police was called to Adelaide Road at 6.35pm by a third party who reported a male in possession of a weapon.

He reported concerns about the male's welfare.

Officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the address and spoke to the male.

No firearm was found and no offences were committed or alleged.

Police said there will be no further police action at this time.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at approximately 6.35pm on Wednesday May 10 by a third party who reported concerns for the welfare of a male at an address in Adelaide Road, W13.

"The caller also stated the male may be in possession of a firearm.



"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the address and spoke to the male.

"No firearm was found. No offences were committed or alleged. No further police action at this time."
