Three people have been taken to hospital after a horrifying crash involving a marked police car and a Volvo in West Ealing.

Two male police officers and the driver of the Volvo were injured during the incident on Sunday morning (August 6).

The two wrecked cars and debris were left strewn across Uxbridge Road, at the junction with Dane Road, outside Ashby's pub.

The incident happened shortly before 7.25am, said the Met.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "The London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade are in attendance.

"Two male police officers and the driver of the other car were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not being treated as life threatening and non-life changing.

"The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed as a matter of course."

No arrests have yet been made and police are continuing to make enquiries about the incident.
