Two men have been arrested after IKEA in Wembley was evacuated following reports of a suspect package.

Metropolitan Police said it was called 2.20pm on Wednesday (April 26) to a report of a suspect package at a commercial premises in Drury Way.

Officers were seen outside IKEA from around 4pm.

The store confirmed on Twitter that it had been evacuated due to a "security alert".

When police from Brent attended, they found no suspect package.

The force added two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of communicating false information with intent.

They have been taken to a north London police station and remain in custody.
