The story of a "leading" Chiswick BMW salesman who helped a man from Ealing steal cars worth more than £200,000 who has been jailed for five years, came top of the headlines this week ending Sunday August 20.

Michael Daniels abused his position as head of sales at BMW Berry, to access customer addresses on a database and give spare keys to an accomplice.

1. Chiswick car dealer jailed

Michael Daniels, 40, of Courtfield Road, Ashford, Surrey, was given five years and three months after he was convicted of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.

A Chiswick BMW salesman was been jailed for five years after he helped a man steal cars worth more than £200,000.

Michael Daniels, 40, gave Alex Tingle, 28, the spare keys to the brand new luxury cars his dealership had just sold.

One of the victims, Robert Mitchell missed the birth of his daughter as he was unable to make it to the hospital after their car was taken on Christmas Eve.

2. Acton stabbings

Two teenagers were taken to hospital after being stabbed in Acton earlier this week.

The two attacks happened around 6.30pm on Tuesday August 15 , and the Metropolitan Police believe they are linked.

Police were called to reports of a 17-year-old male being stabbed in Berrymead Gardens at around 6.30pm.

Shortly after, officers responded to reports of a second 17-year-old with a stab wound in Goldsmith Road, which is near to Acton Central railway station.
