It is time to pack yboth brolly and suncream if you;re heading out this weekend, as west London is forecast to have a mixed bag of weather.

Saturday June 10 will be the perfect day for a picnic with heights of 22°C in Kensington, Fulham, Uxbridge and Hounslow.

According to the Met Office, west London is expected to get Mediterranean weather, with temperatures remaining hotter than average in Spain.

Saturday is forecast to be a cloudy but mostly dry start, although some patchy rain in the west and north is possible.

Sunny spells will develop throughout the afternoon, with the weather feeling warm and humid despite the breeze.

A Met Office forecaster said: "Following the week that has felt a little more like October than June it's an unsettled start to the weekend.

"They'll be some heavy rain particularly during Saturday morning across many areas that then gets replaced by showers later on in the weekend.

"Low pressure to the west of the UK will draw up humid south westerly winds now they become loaded with a lot of moisture bringing extensive cloud across the British Isles but also some heavy rain."

The forecaster said on Saturday afternoon, the south east would be "drier brighter and a little bit warmer".

He added:"The cold front is straddling the country, it lingers there for some time.

"There is a lot of low cloud for the south east, it will be quite humid and there is a muggy night to come."

Sunday June 11 will start off with a lot of cloud but the skies will eventually brighten up.

There is a chance there may be a few showers in the south east.

It is forecast to be drier and brighter on Monday and Tuesday with winds becoming gradually lighter.
