The cloudy weather we have been experiencing today, (Friday March 10) will unfortunately stay with us as we move into the weekend.

Yes, umbrellas and coats at the ready, as you don't want to get caught out in the rain over the weekend.

Tonight, it is looking mainly dry with cloud breaking later on and a chance of isolated fog patches developing in some areas.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday, March 11 says: "Dry but generally cloudy with light winds.

"The cloud may break at times giving the chance of some warm sunshine."

It will be feeling pretty toasty on Saturday, March 12, with highs of 15°C and lows of 9°C.

However, this dry weather will not last, as the forecast for Sunday says: "Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain Sunday but with some brighter spells."

It will feel slightly cooler, due to a change in wind direction, with highs of just 12°C and lows of 7°C.

What to do this weekend

Saturday looks like the driest day of the weekend, so it is best to get outdoors whilst you can.

You could head to Strawberry Hill House which is open from 10am until 5.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Strawberry Hill House is a Gothic building in Twickenham , created by Horace Walpole in the 18th century, aside from the house, there is also a landscape garden to discover.

A standard adult ticket is £10.80, with those under 16 qualifying for a free ticket.

Don't get caught out in the rain on Sunday, why not visit one of west London's great museums?

There are plenty to choose from including the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, which are all accessible, free of charge.

You could even incorporate an exhibition into your visit.

It is the final weekend of Undressed: A History of Underwear at the V&A, tickets cost £13.50 for adults, which includes a donation.
